Not a Manatee County resident?  Effective 7/24/17, Out-of-County residents will have the following options available to process a transaction in Manatee County: (1) motor vehicle services are only available at First Manatee South County Tag Agency and (2) driver license services are available by appointment only at our Driver License Office.

As we continually strive to improve our customer service, we have implemented ways to reduce the amount of time customers wait.  The options below provide you with the flexibility to meet your needs and avoid wait times in our lobbies.

OPTION 1:  Visit the First Manatee South County Tag Agency.  Although they do not offer driver license or property tax services, this privately-owned agency offers extended and Saturday hours (Mon-Fri 9am-6pm; Saturday 9am-2PM) to process title and registration transactions for vehicles, boats, and mobile homes.  For more information, read our First Manatee South County Tag Agency FAQ.

OPTION 2:  Consider visiting one of our conveniently located branch offices - Palma Sola (Manatee and 75th St. W.); North River (US 301 in Ellenton) or Lakewood Ranch (Just off S.R. 70 near Lakewood Ranch Blvd.). Our branch office locations will have the lowest wait times and can complete most driver license, vehicle, boat and property tax transactions.

  • Make an appointment online at taxcollector.com for driver license and title transactions.
  • Check wait times for each office on taxcollector.com to determine the best time to visit.
  • Text WAIT to 41411 to see up to the minute wait times.
  • Visit taxcollector.com to skip a visit to our office and complete your transaction online.
