I can't log in to Excise (tourist tax online application). Why not?
This answer has been viewed 2021 times and was last updated on 09/15/2017.
If you already have a user name and password, make sure you enter them correctly. The Excise system is case sensitive, so make sure your Caps Lock key is off.
If you forgot your password, click the "Forgot your password?" link to receive a temporary password via email. If you've previously received a temporary password, the system should have prompted you to change your password upon logging in; you need to log in with that new password, not the temporary password.
If you don't have an account, visit our tourist tax account management page to submit an application for a new account. After we create your account, we'll send you a letter containing your account number, instructions for accessing Excise (our online tourist tax system), and your user name and password.
If you already have a tourist tax account but can't log in to it, please email our tourist tax specialists or call our Tourist Tax Department at (941) 741-4809.
