I just bought a brand new boat that has never been titled or registered in any state. What do I need to do to register it in Florida? This answer has been viewed 2594 times and was last updated on 08/05/2019.
All purchasers will need to be present with their valid (unexpired) state-issued license/ID or valid (unexpired) passport. You will need to bring the original Manufacturer's Statement of Origin (MSO), which has been properly completed by the dealer or agent, and the dealer or store invoice to prove the purchase price and sales tax collected. Additional sales tax may be due if the amount collected by the dealer/store is less than 7% of the purchase price. Title and registration fees will apply. (If not titled within 30 days of the purchase date, a $10 late fee will be incurred.)
