Manatee County Tax Collector Offices Closed to Public Monday, March 23 Until Further Notice (Published 03-20-2020)
Effective Monday, March 23, all locations of The Manatee County Tax Collector will close to the public until further notice.
"The safety and health of our staff, their families and our customers were the deciding factors in this decision to close," said Tax Collector Ken Burton, Jr. "Because the COVID-19 epidemic is so fluid and ever changing, we had to take the responsible action in the best interest of all."
Most services can be performed on the Tax Collector's website, taxcollector.com and customers are encouraged to use it to safely and securely transact business.
Online services are:
- Driver License/ID Card renewals. Those that expire between March 16 and April 15 have been granted a 30 day extension beyond their current expiration date.
- Vehicle, boat and mobile home renewals
- Property Tax payments may be paid and receipts printed. The current deadline for taxes is March 31 at 11:59 p.m. EDT online (mailed in payments must be post-marked March 31).
- Tourist Development Tax payments
