Alyssa Hamilton was named the Manatee County Tax Collector's Employee of the Quarter for the first quarter 2021. Joining the tax collector's staff in 2013, Alyssa began her career as a counter associate and was selected to transfer to the Quality Assurance Department in 2014. In 2015, she was promoted to her current position of Support Analyst. Alyssa is a recipient of the Rookie of the Year Award (2014), Fraud Detection Award (2014), and multiple perfect attendance awards. In addition to her role with our office, Alyssa serves our country as an active member of the US Air Force Reserve and was recently promoted to Master Sergeant (E7).
"Alyssa has been at the forefront of some incredible innovation over the past year," said Tax Collector Ken Burton, Jr. "She tackled many high-profile projects that have allowed us to serve our community more efficiently and conveniently. Thousands of customers have already benefitted from her recent accomplishments. From using one of the registration renewal kiosks that provide a new decal in minutes to processing virtually with a remote agent, these cutting-edge practices allow us to be agile and serve in the most expedient manner. We recognize Alyssa's passion and commitment to our mission of serving with excellence and realize it is not something that you can find just anywhere. She is a huge asset to the organization, she embodies all of our core values, and we are proud to have her on our team."
Coordinating with internal departments, Alyssa also recently oversaw the installation of machines that automated money counting and deposits for associates, and she worked with a vendor to change an office cashiering system to allow credit card payments for transactions.
"She has been the point person for many major office projects," said Tony Conboy, director of Customer Solutions and Associate Development. "It takes a great amount of effort to coordinate testing and trainings and to implement these new processes, but it doesn’t stop there – Alyssa continues to monitor and analyze the data to ensure a smooth operation. She has made these transitions seamless, and we know we can count on her to do a fantastic job.”
“Alyssa exceeds expectations on each task she completes and takes personal ownership of all assignments. She is always ready to tackle new projects, dedicates herself to the job at hand, and is eager and open to sharing her knowledge with her coworkers,” said Sara Brammer, Quality Assurance manager.
Alyssa represents Office core values of customer focus, innovation, future focus, integrity and respect, teamwork, excellence and accountability, and community and social responsibility. She receives an Employee of the Quarter trophy, a merit certificate, a reserved parking space, a bonus vacation day, a themed casual day, and a free pizza from Demetrio's Pizza House, Cortez Road.
