Qualifications: To process your title by mail you must be a Manatee County resident or in the process of moving to Manatee County. If not, contact your County Tax Collector.

If choosing to complete your transaction by mail, you must have a properly completed mail packet for our office to process. The entire transaction must be processed and completed by mail. No walk-ins will be allowed for any transaction received by mail. If any paperwork received is incomplete or incorrect, the transaction will be delayed and/or rejected and could be returned to the sending party.

Our office will not notify customers to come in to process work. All transactions received by mail must be completed by mail. If your customers wants to process their transaction in person you will be required to mail their paperwork directly to them. If paperwork is received without the completed mail packet all paperwork will be returned to the sender.

Any title that has been mailed to our office by a lienholder/lease company for the purpose of adding/removing a name will be returned to the lienholder/lease company. The title and any applicable paperwork must be mailed directly to the owner for them to bring to the office.

Any title mailed to our office by a lienholder/lease company for a customer that has already been placed on registration only will be returned to the lienholder/lease company.

Note: Title work must be mailed overnight mail or certified mail so that it may be tracked by the sender. The sender is responsible to confirm delivery of title work to our office with mail provider (i.e. Fed Ex, UPS, and USPS). There is a 10 business day turnaround time upon receipt of title work. After 10 business days visit the State's website to verify the title status. Status of title work will not be provided by telephone.
