I want to get a concealed weapon license. Why is the appointment schedule full, and are other options available?

Concealed weapon license (CWL) issuance is always in high demand. The following information will help you schedule your CWL appointment:

• Appointments can only be booked up to 45 days ahead of time.
• Check the schedule frequently for openings resulting from cancellations.
• You may hold only one concealed weapon appointment at a time.

Instead of coming to our office, you can use one of the following options:

• Submit your CWL application directly to the state by mail or online. For instructions, see the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services' concealed weapon license application page. The Palmetto Police Department, Bradenton Police Department, and Manatee County Sheriff’s Office offer fingerprinting services by appointment only and with some restrictions.
• Visit one of the state's regional offices, which have now re-opened and are available to process CWL applications. For locations, see the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services' regional offices page.
