Bradenton – For the second time in her career, Leigh Gibbs was selected as the Employee of the Quarter, first quarter, for the Manatee County Tax Collector's Office. She first earned the award in 1998. A 25 year veteran of the office, Leigh serves as a quality analyst in the Information Technology (IT) department."Leigh continually volunteers to assume additional responsibilities and duties to assist her team and the office," said Tax Collector Ken Burton Jr. "Her latest undertaking was a lead role in converting taxcollector.com to a new mobile responsive site. We pushed the new website out last week and it is a testament to Leigh that it went flawlessly."
"In addition to her regular duties as the IT quality analyst, which she performs with excellence, Leigh has successfully trained herself in ColdFusion programming," said Wayne Hoefle, IT director. "Leigh handled a whopping 522 internet and intranet tickets submitted over the course of the last two years, which allowed our webmaster to focus on in-house development projects. She has taken on ColdFusion development projects, which is a tremendous help with the Office's strategic objective to replace all legacy FoxPro applications, and while managing this growing workload, Leigh obtained her BA degree from the University of South Florida."
Leigh exhibits the Office Core Values of Excellence and Accountability, Teamwork, and Future Focus. Her name is engraved on the Employee of the Quarter Trophy; she receives a certificate, a reserved parking space, a uni-leave day, names a themed casual day, and gets a free pizza from Demetrio's Pizza House, Cortez Road.
