Which types of specialized title transactions must be processed by drop-off?
This answer has been viewed 24027 times and was last updated on 12/06/2022.
To continually strive to improve our customer service, we have implemented ways for specialized title transactions to be processed. The options below provide you with the flexibility to meet your needs and avoid wait times in our lobbies.
Option 1:
This option is available to Non-Manatee County and Manatee County residents/businesses.
Visit the First Manatee South County Tag Agency, located at 5756 14th Street West, Bradenton, in the Southwood Shoppes plaza. This office has extended hours Monday through Friday (9 a.m. to 6 p.m.) and Saturday hours (9 a.m. to 2 p.m.). All transactions can be processed as a walk-in (with some restrictions) or can be dropped off. This office accepts cash, check, and debit. A 3.5% fee is charged on all check transactions to guarantee funds and on all debit transactions as a processing fee. For information, fee/service charges, holiday closures and to make an appointment (not required) visit: https://www.autotagagency.net/locations/florida/manatee-county/first-manatee-south-county-tag-agency-bradenton/
Option 2:
This option is available only to Manatee County residents and Manatee County businesses.
Drop off title and/or registration work with the receptionist at our DeSoto Office, located at 819 301 Boulevard West, Bradenton. Most transactions are completed and available for pickup within three business days, not including the day the work is dropped off and holidays. You will receive an email/text notification when the work is ready for pick up.
A signed control sheet and a copy of the applicant's valid, unexpired driver license or ID card must accompany the drop-off work. It is preferred that you place everything in an envelope or folder when being dropped off. Please choose one form of payment below:
1) Submit 1 check (for each control sheet submitted) made payable to Ken Burton Jr., Tax Collector (no cash accepted) with the amount blank.
2) Submit a Credit Card Authorization Form (for each control sheet submitted). A 2.5% processing fee (minimum of $2.50) for credit cards will apply. Our office does not retain any portion of this fee. This form must be printed and submitted with the drop-off work.
Any rejected work will be returned with a checklist detailing the reason for rejection. Work that is resubmitted after corrections have been made is still subject to the three-business-day turnaround.
