Overview
Property taxes open for collection on November 1 or within 20 business days of the property appraiser's tax roll certification. You may receive a discount on payment of current taxes. The discount varies by payment deadline, as shown below.
Current taxes
For payment of current taxes by mail, we honor the postmark. Payments not postmarked (by the mail carrier service) by the last day of the discount period will be returned. For self-metered mail, we must receive payment by a date consistent with standard delivery time.
Delinquent taxes
For payment of delinquent taxes by any method (mail, website, or in person), we must receive payment by the last business day of the month in which payment is made. We do not honor the postmark for delinquent taxes.
Discount periods - annual payment
Payment deadlines are: in person by 5:00 p.m. EST, or postmarked or paid online by 11:59 p.m. EST.

Discount periods - installment option
If you are on the installment plan, below are your payment deadlines and discounts. If you are not already on the installment plan, you cannot apply these installment deadlines and discounts to pay your taxes, but you may be eligible to enroll in the installment plan for next year.
