Bradenton – David Brierton was named the Manatee County Tax Collector's Employee of the Quarter for the fourth quarter 2022. David joined the tax collector’s team in 2010. Although David started his time in the organization as a counter associate, his work ethic and positive attitude accelerated his move to the IT department, where as OnBase Administrator, he has guided the office’s transition to the OnBase content management system. OnBase has been utilized by several departments, streamlining processes across the organization, including annual evaluations, direct deposit workflows, and several other forms vital to the day to day operation of the office.
Additionally, David has created and maintained several other applications, including the Title by Mail program, Zendesk import for iDashboards, and a fee calculator that has been used by other tax collector offices across the state of Florida.
"David joined our team as a star employee," said Tax Collector Ken Burton Jr. "His processing statistics and the quality of his work were off-the-charts. One day we learned that he could code, and that was a game changer! David soon joined our IT Department, where he brings to life our vision of innovating better ways to serve in everything he does.”
“David can always be counted on for his enthusiasm and determination to bring projects to a successful conclusion” said IT Director Wayne Hoefle. “As our OnBase administrator, he is always focused on delivering maximum value to the organization through the OnBase system and initiatives.”
David represents Office core values of customer focus, innovation, future focus, integrity and respect, teamwork, excellence and accountability, and community and social responsibility. He receives an Employee of the Quarter trophy, a merit certificate, a reserved parking space, a themed casual day, and a bonus vacation day.
